Alliance Française is a local non-profit organisation led by an elected committee of members and an executive director, with the support of the Embassy of France in Nigeria. We teach French to adults and children, we are centres for official French exams and we organise cultural activities promoting local and francophone cultures.

Job Title: Regional Audiovisual Officer (F/H) - Embassy of France in Nigeria
Under the authority of the Cooperation and Cultural Action Advisor (COCAC), you pilot the cooperation policy in the field of cultural and creative industries (ICC), audiovisual’, cinema, etc, digital cultures, media development, the fight against disinformation and music in order to promote French’ expertise.
In your area of competence, in close contact with the COCACs and the relevant officers, you coordinate regional cooperation programmes and accompany the bilateral activities of the French institutes of Benin, from Cameroon, Ghana, and Togo.
Main Activities
Your main missions are as follows:
propose, in liaison with the operators concerned, a cooperation and promotion strategy in your areas of expertise: cinema, animation, series, podcast, video games and e-sport, digital creation, regulatory monitoring (copyright), as well as music in coordination with the regional music sector project manager
design, negotiate and implement bilateral cooperation projects in these areas, within the framework of the policy defined by the ambassador and the cooperation and cultural action advisor
define and implement annual budgetary programming ;promote the cultural and creative industries by working in a’Equipe France logic with the various operators to strengthen the ICC sectors and propose actions for professionals as close as possible to the needs the ICC sectors
develop relations with local authorities, French operators (Unifrance, National Center of Cinema and animated image (CNC), National Institute of Audiovisual (INA), France Media World, etc...) and with the beneficiaries of cooperation actions
develop professional and social networks in order to promote the visibility of cooperation
seek funding and raise funds from public and private donors
to bring out and support innovative initiatives in the highly competitive local landscape;valorise French concepts in the audiovisual and CCI field
train and support the emergence of new professionals in all disciplines, identify prescriptive structures
maintain contact with local professionals and facilitate their relations with French, public and private actors

Diplomas or Professional Experience Recommended to Perform the Duties
Master level, preferably in the fields of cinema /audiovisual /digital /project management /cultural cooperation.
Professional experience of’at least 7 years in one of the sectors concerned.
Ability to federate and work as a team on remote sites.
Knowledge of the specificities of public administration work, ability to report and write.
Experience in leading projects at’international : ICC, Image, media, heritage sector.
Experience in seeking financing (donors of funds and/or European Union and/or private sector..).
Knowledge or mastery of’a local language would be an asset. Knowledge of the region as well.
