Senior Project Engineer at an Oil and Gas Company - Worknigeria

Worknigeria - Our client, an Oil and Gas company, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Project Engineer 

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and customer representatives.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and expectations.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians.
• Analyse project data to identify areas for improvement and optimize performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, or related engineering field.
• 5+ years of experience in oilfield services, project management, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of drilling, completion, and production operations.
• Proven project management skills, with experience in budgeting, scheduling, and cost control.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional engineering certification (PE) or equivalent.
• Experience with project management software and tools.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., API, OSHA).

Some Key Requirements for both roles include:

• Graduating grade of Second Class Upper (2:1) or higher
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Prior extensive experience in the oil and gas industry.

Salary
N600,000 - N1,000,000 monthly.
