Description
We are recruiting to fill the position of an M&E Officer in the CARITAS Nigeria Community Case Management Program (CCMP) ACCESS Project in Abia State.
Primary Function
The M&E Officer will provide technical support on all activities related to case management in capacity strengthening.
S/he will mentor data entry clerks and facilitate data entry into the reporting database and other CaritasNigeria-ACCESS project MIS platforms.
S/he conducts supportive supervisory visits to project sites/LGA to observe, monitor, provide guidance and quality feedback to case managers on documentation and reporting.
S/he will be responsible for writing reports of meetings with case managers while providing programmatic support during such activities.
Job Responsibilities
Report to the Program Manager.
Provide continuous technical support to Community volunteers in the use of CCMP M&E tools
Facilitate data entry into the reporting database and other Caritas Nigeria-ACCESS MIS platforms.
Develop and maintain systems to collect and analyze information on inputs, outputs, outcomes and impact of the program.
Support other project staff in their work with the case managers in the correct use of forms and submission of accurate reports on a timely basis.
Conduct supportive supervisory visits to project sites/LGA to observe, monitor, provide guidance and quality feedback to case managers on documentation and reporting
Maintain hard and electronic copy file of the CBOs Monthly Summary Forms.
Support in the capacity building and mentoring of case managers on M&E related matters such as to understanding the information needs of JDPC Aba Caritas Nigeria-supported CCMP project, and to adhere to M&E standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Support in documentation and archiving of project information.
Be available for data quality assessments and actively participate in the data quality assessment, understand the recommendations for remedial action, and comply with those recommendations.
Support the Program Manager in the analysis of CCMP data from reporting database and other reporting platforms for the quarterly and annual reports to Caritas Nigeria OVC State team lead and other reports, as required.
Work closely with the Program Manager to coordinate weekly and monthly review meetings of case managers.
Ensure all source documents of services provided and activities conducted are well filed by the documentation officer.
Ensure CBOs maintain confidentiality in all the VCs case files.
Perform any other role assigned.
Requirements
Essential:
Degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Business Management, or any Social Science course or in a related field with at least 2 years of relevant working experience.
A minimum of3 years experience directly implementing in data Analysis, Monitoring and evaluation at the field level.
Proficient analytical skills that demonstrate an understanding of the current concepts, priorities, and issues in program monitoring, data collection, and evaluation.
Effective verbal and written communication, multitasking, and organizational.
Ability to manage priorities independently.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
Excellent teamwork abilities and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with M & E, information, communications, and knowledge-sharing technologies and use of innovative approaches to digital financial services.
Demonstrated computer competency in MS Excel, and MS Word and knowledge of data management software.
Strong analytical and qualitative skills
Demonstrated flexibility, creativity, and enthusiasm as well as a willingness to learn and be continually adaptive in a dynamic and often self-directed working environment.
Ability to focus on day-to-day tasks at hand while also working towards longer-term objectives with an understanding that these will change continuously.
