Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Finance Controller with strategic and hands-on leadership role responsible for managing the company’s financial operations, accounting records, inventory control, warehouse oversight, and internal control systems.
The ideal candidate will ensure financial integrity, operational efficiency, and compliance with internal and external regulations.
The ideal candidate will bring strong financial acumen, experience in inventory and warehouse environments, and a proactive approach to process improvement and control.
Ensure financial reporting, accounting operations, and compliance with all financial regulations and procedures.
Ensure a high service to clients and other stakeholders and take responsibility for and lead the company's day-to-day financial and accounting requirements.
Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
Manage all accounting operations, including Account receivables and Payables, General Ledger, and Revenue Recognition.
Oversee the Preparation and publishing of timely financial statements and other regulatory Reporting.
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger and subledgers.
Perform variance analysis and present financial insights to senior management.
Support business decision-making through financial modeling and cost analysis.
Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts.
Coordinate month-end and close year-end Process.
Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports.
Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with accounting standards, rules and regulations, taxes, policies, and procedures.
Standardize and streamline accounting operations.
Implement proper internal controls, coordinate audit processes, and ensure the accuracy of financial information.
Overseeing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
Prepare the statement of accounting policies for the audited financials in compliance with the IFRS.
Ensuring all reports adhere to accounting standards, rules, regulations, local filing requirements, and Accounting best practices.
Development and implementation of a formal risk management framework.• Ensuring compliance with CIT, VAT, and other local taxes.
Evaluating systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
Post all Payroll entries
Internal Controls & Compliance:
Design, implement, and monitor internal controls to protect company assets.
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, tax laws, and company policies.
Lead internal and external audits and follow up on audit recommendations.
Inventory & Warehouse Management:
Oversee inventory control systems to ensure accurate tracking, valuation, and reporting.
Supervise warehouse operations to ensure proper storage, stock rotation, and inventory levels.
Coordinate regular physical stock counts and reconciliations.
Analyze inventory data to prevent stock losses, pilferage, and inefficiencies.
Cash & Cost Management:
Monitor and manage daily cash flows and working capital needs.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial efficiency.
Evaluate and manage financial risks across departments.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
Lead and mentor accounting, inventory, and warehouse personnel.
Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and other departments to align operational and financial goals.
Ensure cross-functional compliance with financial processes and reporting standards.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or any related field (required).
Professional certifications are an added advantage (e.g., ICAN, ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent)
Solid understanding of inventory management principles and financial regulations.
Minimum of 3--5 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, and control roles.
At least 2 years of direct experience managing inventory or warehouse operations.
Proven experience developing and implementing internal control systems.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Sage, or similar ERP systems).
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
