Wellahealth provides affordable health care coverage for you and your family by giving the best health care benefits in Nigeria with our carefully tailored plans.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Marketing & Communication Specialist (B2B)
Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full-time
Role Summary
We're looking for a B2B Marketing & Communication Specialist who can drive pipeline growth through in-person demand generation.
You’ll plan, attend and execute field activations, hosted events, industry presence, and ecosystem engagements that put Wellahealth in front of high-potential business decision-makers, then convert that attention into sales-qualified leads (SQLs) for our business development team.
This is not an events role for visibility alone. Your job is to generate and nurture real leads decision-makers from businesses who could embed or distribute Wellahealth’ offerings.
Key Responsibilities
Pipeline-Driven Field Campaigns:
Plan and execute events and field activations (e.g., ecosystem mixers, business breakfasts, partner roundtables, booths at B2B industry events) with a clear lead-generation focus.
Build and own the offline funnel lead capture, qualification, and handoff to Sales.
Create compelling field campaign briefs with clear goals (target segments, messages, and expected leads/opportunities).
Target & Engage Ideal B2B Partners:
Develop and refine targeting strategy: fintechs, cooperatives, employer groups, gig platforms, digital lenders, etc.
Organize focused micro-events and roundtables designed to educate and convert—centered on use cases like:
Embedded health benefits.
Health as a value-added service (VAS).
Welfare programs for gig workers, employees, or users.
Identify and activate regional opportunities where in-person engagements can unlock hard-to-reach B2B partners.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with Sales and Partnerships to align on target accounts, verticals, and campaigns.
Work closely with Product Marketing to ensure field messaging is tailored to industry pain points and integration opportunities.
Support Account Executives and Partnership Leads with pre-event and post-event follow-up assets and workflows.
Lead Reporting & Performance Optimization:
Track lead acquisition, qualification, and conversion metrics from each field initiative.
Use CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot) to ensure every lead is tagged, nurtured, and attributed correctly.
Run post-event debriefs to improve field campaign effectiveness over time.
Campaign Execution & Branding:
Manage vendors, venues, and logistics to ensure smooth event delivery.
Work with design/content to develop localized and context-specific event assets (decks, banners, signage, one-pagers).
Ensure Wellahealth’s brand and messaging are clear and relevant to the attending audience.
What You Bring
3 - 5 years of experience in B2B demand generation, events, or ecosystem/partnership marketing, ideally in fintech, healthtech, SaaS, or B2B platforms.
Strong track record of events & field led lead generation, not just brand awareness.
Understanding of embedded finance or value-added services and how businesses think about bundling health benefits.
Excellent project management skills—can move quickly from idea to execution.
Strong communication skills: confident in engaging executives and business stakeholders in person.
Familiarity with CRM and campaign tools (e.g., HubSpot, Notion, Eventbrite, Google Workspace).
Success in This Role Looks Like
You consistently generate qualified B2B leads from field activations.
You design and execute in-person campaigns that align with strategic growth targets.
You know how to create local relevance without losing strategic focus.
You translate in-person interactions into structured follow-up, conversions, and learnings.
