Job Title: Protection Information Management Officer

Purpose / Objective of the Position
The Protection Information Management (PIM) Officer will support the implementation of protection data management processes, ensuring quality data collection, review, and analysis.
The role will focus on maintaining protection dashboards, cleaning raw data, and ensuring compliance with data protection standards.
The PIM Officer will work closely with the MEAL team in Sokoto to complete activity information, track referrals, and ensure project indicators are properly complemented. Additionally, the role will support DRC partners in setting up their own protection information management systems and assist in organizing and classifying data at the Local Government Area (LGA) level.
Within the scope of DRC’s Protection projects, the PIM Officer will be responsible for the supervision of the protection data collection, entry, and management activities, including formatting, creating and properly storing hard and soft-copies, data forms and data bases.
The PIM Officer will also be responsible for the analysis of the collected protection data and the drafting of relevant reports, under the supervision of the Protection Monitoring/CBP Team Leader.
Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Protection Team Leader, the PIM Officer will:
Data Management & Review:
Assist in the collection, cleaning, and validation of protection monitoring and other protection data.
Maintain and update protection dashboards using PowerBI and other relevant tools.
Ensure proper classification and filing of protection data and reports at the State level while coordinating closely with PM/CBP and other protection officers and assistants at field level.
Collaboration & Coordination:
Work closely with the MEAL team to ensure accurate reporting and completion of activity information.
Support the tracking of referrals and project indicators to ensure data completeness.
Assist DRC partners in setting up and managing their protection information management systems.
Ensuring DRC Standards on data protection are followed and implemented carefully
Updating the referral pathways platform for all field locations.
Providing teams with IT related technical glitches related to data collection, storage on kobo gadgets.
Supporting Protection team leaders, manager and coordinator with relevant activities as per requests.
Data Protection & Compliance:
Ensure adherence to data protection procedures and confidentiality standards.
Support the implementation of knowledge management platforms at the LGA level.
Conduct regular quality checks on collected data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Capacity Building & Support:
Provide basic training to field teams and field staff of partners on data collection and protection information management while visiting the LGA covered
Assist in the development of simple data visualization tools for protection analysis with support from the PIM Specialist.
Support the production of monthly protection snapshots and reports at LGA level for reviews of Protection Coordinator and PIM Specialist.
Support in data input, analysis for assessments when called upon.
Ensure all teams strictly adhere to PIM principles and guidelines and providing the relevant capacity building sessions required for this.
Liaise with M&E and create relevant forms when called upon in line with upcoming protection needs.
Education and Professional Experience
BA./BSc. in a relevant field.
PIM Certification (preferred).
HAP training or Certificate desirable.
