Job Summary

• Green Grass Investment Limited is a forward-looking mining company focused on the exploration, excavation, and export of lithium and other strategic minerals.
• As we scale our operations in Kebbi State, we are seeking a Welding and Fabrication Technician to join our dynamic technical team and support the construction and maintenance of critical mining and processing infrastructure
• The Welding and Fabrication Technician will be responsible for executing a wide range of welding, cutting, and metal fabrication tasks, supporting plant installation, structural maintenance, and equipment repair.
• The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of safety procedures in an industrial and mining environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding and fabrication of structural components, pipelines, chutes, frames, and support brackets for mining and processing equipment.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications to plan and execute precise welding and fabrication tasks.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on steel structures, conveyors, platforms, and plant machinery.
• Operate welding machines (MIG, TIG, ARC), oxy-acetylene cutting equipment, grinders, and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Inspect welds and fabricated components to ensure structural integrity, quality, and alignment with project requirements.
• Adhere strictly to safety standards and company procedures, particularly in confined spaces and high-temperature areas.
• Support mechanical technicians during installation and modification of mechanical components.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment and report hazards or equipment malfunctions.
• Keep accurate records of materials used, time spent, and work completed.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates should possess an HND / OND / B.Eng Degree
• Trade Test Certificate / NABTEB / National Diploma (ND) or equivalent in Welding and Fabrication, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 2years practical experience in industrial welding and metal fabrication, preferably in a mining or heavy-duty industrial setting
• Proven knowledge of various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick/ARC, Gas welding).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication diagrams.
• Sound knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in industrial workspaces.
• Physical fitness and ability to work in a remote, rugged mining environment.
• Certification in welding or safety (e.g., OSHA, NSITF-approved HSE certification) will be an added advantage.
