Job Title: IT Officer - Infrastructure & Integration Support

Goal
The primary goal of the IT Officer - Infrastructure & Integration Support is to ensure the reliability and effective integration of IT systems across the academic and residential environments.
This includes maintaining robust network infrastructure, supporting classroom technology, and collaborating on the implementation of proactive IT solutions.
By focusing on optimizing hardware usage, managing IT inventory, and assisting in the rollout of educational technologies, the IT Officer contributes to a seamless teaching and learning experience, while promoting operational efficiency within the IT team.
Duties
Ensure consistent, reliable network connectivity across classrooms, administrative areas, and residential quarters.
Support teachers in achieving seamless technology integration in teaching practices.
Provide continuous, responsive IT assistance to faculty, especially during classroom sessions.
Collaborate with the IT Manager on the management and optimization of:
CCTV infrastructure
School bell systems
Manage and maintain all school computer hardware, ensuring minimal downtime.
Offer technical support to the media team and assist with troubleshooting the school’s website.
Perform other assigned tasks in alignment with the IT department’s goals.
Perform task on the School Information Management System (ALMA) as assigned by the IT Manager.
Inventory Management Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate records of all classroom technology tools (e.g., projectors, interactive boards).
Implement a system to track device lifecycles, recommending timely replacements and upgrades.
Collaborate with the Accounts Office to facilitate timely procurement of IT equipment.
Ensure high performance of classroom technology tools through:
Regular maintenance and servicing
Analyzing resource usage and identifying areas for optimization
Updating a centralized database of all assets
Providing reports and analytics on resource utilization and needs.
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Demonstrated commitment to Christian values and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, reflected in a professional and ethical approach to work.
At least 2 years proven experience in maintaining and troubleshooting network systems
Strong inventory management skills, with the ability to track device lifecycle, prepare usage reports, and coordinate with procurement teams.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with academic staff, IT colleagues, and non-technical users.
Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 monthly.
