The French Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in the French language, while integrating Biblical values and supporting the academic, spiritual, and personal development of each student.
The role involves fostering cultural appreciation, promoting effective communication in French, and creating an inclusive and engaging classroom environment that reflects the school’s Christian ethos.
Key Responsibilities
Spiritual & Cultural Integrand:
Model and promote client’s core values and mission, demonstrating a commitment to Christian principles in all areas of teaching and interaction.
Actively support students in discovering their God-given gifts and encourage the development of character and spiritual growth.
Respect and advocate for the diverse cultural and religious backgrounds of students and families.
Incorporate Biblical principles meaningfully within lesson plans and classroom discussions.
Instructional Excellence:
Plan and deliver effective French language lessons across listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and apply varied instructional strategies that align with how students learn best.
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and use scaffolding to ensure all students can access content.
Integrate engaging, real-life, and culturally relevant content to cultivate a love for learning French.
Design and implement both formative and summative assessments aligned with learning objectives.
Provide timely, constructive feedback and grade assignments promptly.
Student Support & Development:
Identify and support struggling learners and provide enrichment opportunities for high achievers.
Monitor academic progress through regular assessment and follow-up interventions.
Foster a positive classroom culture that emphasizes high expectations, respect, and student accountability.
Support students’ holistic development—spiritual, academic, social, and emotional.
Classroom Management & Procedures:
Establish and maintain clear routines, procedures, and high standards for student behavior.
Effectively manage transitions between activities and minimize disruptions.
Administer fair and consistent consequences for behavior, reinforcing accountability.
Maintain classroom orderliness and contribute to organized school events, assemblies, and extracurricular programs.
Professionalism & Growth:
Meet all professional deadlines, including lesson plans, grading, reports, and school communications.
Be punctual to all school duties, meetings, and responsibilities.
Demonstrate a growth mindset by welcoming feedback, learning from mistakes, and seeking continuous professional development.
Model professionalism in communication (written and verbal), grooming, and adherence to school policies.
Collaborate with colleagues, participate actively in staff meetings, and contribute creatively to team goals.
Maintain professional boundaries in relationships with students and parents, while providing objective and respectful communication.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in French, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Teaching certification/licensure in French language instruction.
French has mother tongue
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a Christian or multicultural school setting.
Strong written and spoken proficiency in both French and English.
Familiarity with Biblical integration in education is an added advantage.

Salary / Benefits
Monthly gross salary range of N300,000.00- N400,000.00
Health insurance cover for families not more than three dependants.
