Job Title: Engineer, Advanced Manufacturing

Job Summary
You will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, optimizing processes, and ensuring the successful implementation of additive manufacturing technologies.
Responsibilities
Project Leadership: Lead additive manufacturing projects from conception to completion, including planning, execution, and documentation.
Process Optimization: Develop and optimize additive manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and reliability.
Technology Evaluation: Research, evaluate, and implement new additive manufacturing technologies, materials, and equipment.
Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain quality standards for additive manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal requirements.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, materials, and production, to integrate additive manufacturing into product development and manufacturing processes.
Training and Mentoring: Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians within the additive manufacturing division.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in additive manufacturing processes, technologies, and workflows.
Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process specifications.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with additive manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with additive manufacturing equipment suppliers, service providers, and material vendors.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Advanced degree (master’s or Ph.D.) ispreferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in, Reverse Engineering, 3D modelling,Maintenance / Operations experience will be an advantage
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Autodesk Fusion 360) for design and modelling.
Strong understanding of additive manufacturing principles, processes, and materials.
Experience with additive manufacturing equipment, such as 3D printers, laser systems, and powder handling systems.
Familiarity with quality assurance techniques, including statistical process control (SPC) and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated ability to identify complex technical problems, analyze data, and implement effective solutions.
Leadership Skills: Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving projects to successful completion. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Continuous Learning: Desire to stay updated on the latest developments and trends in additive manufacturing technology and industry best practices.
