The Maintenance Manager will lead and oversee all maintenance operations, including mechanical, electrical, and facility maintenance across all Natnudo Foods sites.
This position is critical in ensuring equipment uptime, production efficiency, safety compliance, and long-term asset management.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Operations:
Oversee the maintenance of all production, processing, packaging, and refrigeration equipment.
Develop and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
Ensure all maintenance tasks are performed efficiently with minimal disruption to production.
Monitor equipment and system performance to detect issues early and schedule necessary interventions.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and manage a multidisciplinary maintenance team including technicians, electricians, and fitters.
Recruit, train, and evaluate maintenance staff to ensure optimal performance and technical competency.
Delegate tasks and monitor team progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and safety standards.
Equipment and Asset Management:
Maintain a comprehensive inventory of tools, spare parts, and equipment.
Oversee procurement and stock control of maintenance materials and ensure timely availability.
Manage lifecycle maintenance and replacement schedules for major equipment and infrastructure.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure all maintenance work complies with relevant safety regulations, health standards, and environmental policies.
Conduct regular inspections of plant equipment and facilities for hazards and operational efficiency.
Develop and enforce safety protocols and emergency response procedures within the maintenance department.
Budget and Cost Control:
Prepare and manage the maintenance department budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
Monitor expenditures, control costs on repairs, and track ROI on maintenance investments.
Recommend and implement strategies to reduce maintenance costs while improving efficiency.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, service reports, downtime, and work orders.
Analyze equipment performance data and provide detailed reports to senior management.
Recommend upgrades or changes based on performance analysis and maintenance trends.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in a food processing, manufacturing, or FMCG environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong knowledge of industrial equipment, electrical systems, HVAC, boilers, compressors, and refrigeration systems.
Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and technical documentation.
Sound understanding of Nigerian regulatory standards in food safety, equipment maintenance, and workplace safety.

Work Environment:
On-site presence required at the natnudO Foods production facilities
Regular exposure to noise, machinery, and high-temperature environments
Emergency maintenance calls may be required outside of standard work hours
