Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivatedProduction Manager to lead and optimize our production operations.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the production process, ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining stringent quality control, and upholding the highest standards of food safety.
This role requires a proven leader with a strong background in food manufacturing and a deep understanding of food handling and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily production activities to meet output targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
Oversee the entire production cycle, from raw material intake to finished product packaging, ensuring adherence to recipes and specifications.
Implement and enforce strict food safety protocols, including HACCP, GMP, and other relevant regulatory standards.
Conduct regular inspections of production areas to ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and safety guidelines.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production supervisors and operators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and teamwork.
Optimize production processes for efficiency, waste reduction, and cost-effectiveness without compromising quality or safety.
Monitor production performance metrics, analyze data, and implement corrective actions to address deviations.
Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Maintenance departments to ensure seamless operations.
Manage production budgets, resource allocation, and inventory levels.
Ensure all equipment is maintained and operated safely and efficiently.
Prepare and present production reports to senior management.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Engineering, Production Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a production management role within the food manufacturing industry.
Demonstrable expertise and experience in food handling practices and food safety management systems (e.g., HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000).
Proven track record of successfully managing production teams and achieving operational targets.
Strong understanding of production planning, quality control, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions under pressure.
Proficiency in relevant production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Salary
N100,000 - N120,000 / Month.
