Job Summary

• As Head, Business Development, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing the firm’s growth strategy.
• You will lead efforts to acquire new clients, deepen relationships with existing ones, and expand market share across various investor segments.
• This role demands a proactive and strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the Nigerian financial services landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies to grow Assets Under Management (AUM).
• Identify and build relationships with prospective institutional, high-net-worth (HNW), and retail investors.
• Drive client acquisition, onboarding, and retention initiatives in line with the company’s strategic goals.
• Lead business development campaigns, collaborations, sponsorships and client engagement activities.
• Collaborate with investment and product teams to design bespoke, tech-driven investment solutions
• Provide leadership and mentoring to the business development team.
• Prepare and present reports, proposals, and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
• Represent the company at industry events and with regulatory bodies when required.

Requirements

• A graduate in Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting or other related fields.
• Possession of post graduate degree and professional qualifications (ACA, ACIB, CFA, ACIS , ACCA etc will be an added advantage.
• 8 - 10 years of progressive experience in business development, preferably within asset management, wealth management, banks and other financial institutions.
• Strong understanding of investment products, finance, capital market dynamics, and client segmentation within Nigeria.
• Proven ability to drive business growth and meet revenue/financial targets.
• Strong leadership skills, networking with experience in managing and growing relationships and high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and result orientation.
• Must be tech- driven person.
