It was formed after NATCOM Development and Investment Limited (NatCom) acquired the assets of the defunct NITEL.NTEL aims to redefine the Nigerian telecommunications landscape by offering high-speed internet access and clear voice over LTE. NTEL aims to deliver its services across the largest possible network coverage in Nigeria.

Job Title: Project Manager

Job Description
Project Definition and Planning: Collaborate with all relevant stakeholders (internal departments, clients, vendors) to thoroughly identify, define, and document comprehensive project requirements, scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Project Execution, Monitoring, and Control: Oversee and actively manage all phases of the project lifecycle from initiation through closure, ensuring adherence to the defined project plan.
Cross-functional Coordination and Integration: Coordinate and monitor all assigned projects, ensuring seamless integration with other ongoing initiatives and operational activities across various departments.
Financial Management of projects and Business Case Development: Coordinate the planning and implementation of projects, ensuring delivery within agreed time, cost, and quality parameters.
Develop compelling project business cases, including detailed financial analyses with emphasis on Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Return on Investment (ROI) to justify project viability and secure funding.
Testing, Training, and Handover Management: Coordinate and oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and System Integration Testing (SIT) to ensure solutions meet business requirements and are functionally sound.
Change, Issue, and Reporting Management: Identify, track, and formally document changes to project scope, ensuring proper change control procedures are followed and approved.
Problem Resolution, Vendor, and Risk Management: Review and resolve project-related issues and problems promptly and effectively, escalating as necessary.
Information Management and Dissemination: Responsible for gathering, compiling, organizing, and accurately distributing all project-related information and documentation to designated parties regarding assigned project deliverables.
Budget Governance and Capitalization: Collaborate closely with the Project Management Office (PMO) Governance to ensure the commitment and capitalization of project and program budgets, aligning with organizational financial policies.
Governance and Compliance: Ensure all assigned project(s) strictly conform to the organization's established Project Management Governance standards, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
Education / Certification:
First Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related quantitative field.
Master's Degree is an advantage.
Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) or equivalent, demonstrating mastery of project management methodologies.
Minimum of 3 - 5 years progressive experience in project management, with a significant portion in complex, large-scale projects within a dynamic industry (e.g., Telecommunications, IT, Finance).
Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams (including internal, 3rd party, and global teams) on projects with significant business impact and high visibility.
Proven track record of consistently delivering projects on time, within budget, and exceeding quality expectations, with quantifiable results (e.g., successful product launches, significant process improvements, measurable ROI).
Experience in strategic project portfolio planning and management, contributing to overall business objectives.
Extensive experience in managing diverse stakeholder expectations at all levels, including senior executives and external clients, through expert negotiation and influencing skills.
Proven ability to recover troubled projects and implement corrective actions effectively.
Knowledge:
Business Acumen: Understanding the organization's mission, strategy, and operations, as well as industry trends and the competitive landscape.
Financial Management: Understanding financial statements, budgeting principles, and ROI analysis as they relate to projects.
