We are recruiting suitable candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Sales Manager

Location: Owo, Ondo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • We are seeking a results-driven and strategic Sales Manager to lead business development efforts and grow our client base in the logistics and transport sector.
  • This role requires a proactive sales professional who understands the Nigerian logistics market and can identify opportunities, close deals, and build long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage potential clients through market research, cold calls, referrals, and networking.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to generate leads, pitch services, and close business deals.
  • Present customised proposals that showcase the company’s transport solutions, routes, and competitive advantages.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and service level agreements to meet revenue targets while ensuring profitability.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Conduct regular market and competitor analysis, using insights to uncover and act on new opportunities.
  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure seamless delivery of services that meet customer expectations.
  • Manage and update sales activities using a CRM system, tracking leads, deals, and client data.
  • Analyse sales performance metrics and submit periodic reports to management with key insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on campaigns, promotional offers, and visibility strategies.
  • Prepare and issue accurate quotations, factoring in transport costs such as fuel, manpower, and maintenance.
  • Explore opportunities for service expansion, such as warehousing, exports, customs clearance, or interstate delivery routes.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance in all transport-related sales and client engagements.
  • Monitor and follow up on invoice payments, resolving billing issues as necessary.
  • Develop client loyalty programmes or long-term contracts to drive retention and increase lifetime value.
  • Collect and analyse customer feedback to inform continuous improvement of services and client experience.

Requirements

  • A Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in B2B sales, preferably in logistics, transportation, or supply chain sectors. (Experience in the Cocoa industry is an advantage.)
  • Proven ability to develop sales pipelines, close deals, and exceed targets.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and client relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant CRM and ERP tools.
