Nursery 1 & 2 Teacher at Standard Bearers School (SBS)

Posted on Mon 30th Jun, 2025 - hotnigerianjobs.com --- (0 comments)

Standard Bearers School emerged during a challenging era in Nigeria's educational landscape marked by a decline in the quality of education amidst a proliferation of schools. Founded on January 7th, 1997, SBS was conceived with a dedicated team of educators and a small group of students. The vision behind SBS was to establish a school that values both academic excellence and creativity equally.

SBS transcends the conventional definition of a school; it is a tight-knit family offering a comprehensive educational experience for parents seeking a technologically advanced, 21st-century learning environment for their children. We function as a community of lifelong learners who not only recognize but celebrate the unique worth of each individual, supporting them on their journey of self-discovery. At SBS, our commitment remains steadfast. We aspire to provide our students with a robust foundation and a promising start in life. Our educational approach focuses on nurturing independence, confidence, and responsibility, guiding our students to evolve into valuable, responsible members of our community.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

  • Continuously assess students’ development through both formal and informal methods, including observation, child portfolios, and activities.
  • Provide timely feedback to parents on their child's academic progress, behaviour, and personal development.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive reports on student performance, including any challenges and milestones achieved.
  • Monitor each child's academic progress and report any concerns to the Head of School promptly.

Resource Management and Accountability:

  • Ensure the classroom is equipped with age-appropriate learning resources such as toys, books, and educational materials.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring the classroom resources are well-maintained and not damaged.
  • Regularly check the condition of all learning tools and report any necessary replacements or repairs.
