Job Overview
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, fostering relationships with clients, and contributing to the overall growth of the company.
The BDM will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to execute strategies aimed at expanding the company’s client base and increasing revenue.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Acquisition:
Identify and research potential clients and business opportunities in existing and new markets.
Generate leads and close new business deals to meet or exceed revenue targets.
Develop and implement strategies to win new business and expand the customer base.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with potential clients and partners.
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing partners.
Act as the main point of contact for key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Work collaboratively with internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions and services to clients.
Market Analysis & Strategy:
Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and potential areas for expansion.
Provide input into the development of new products, services, and business models.
Stay up to date on industry developments, competitors, and customer needs.
Collaboration with Sales & Marketing Teams:
Work closely with sales, marketing, and product development teams to align on business goals and strategies.
Assist with marketing efforts, including identifying target audiences and creating promotional materials.
Reporting & Performance Tracking:
Monitor and report on business development activities, pipeline, and KPIs to senior leadership.
Track sales performance, lead conversion rates, and overall business growth.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree a plus).
Experience: Minimum of 5-10years in business development, sales, or a related field; experience in [industry-specific] preferred.
Skills:
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Proven track record of closing new business and achieving sales targets.
Excellent problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
Proficient in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
