Job Title: Electrical Engineer (Renewable Energy)

Location: Oregun Ikeja, Lagos

Job Summary

• We’re looking for a dynamic and hands-on Electrical Engineer to support our technical operations and project execution.
• The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical systems in renewable energy projects.
• You will play a key role in project planning, system design, technical analysis, and onsite execution ensuring all electrical works comply with industry standards and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for solar PV, wind, and hybrid renewable energy projects.
• Prepare detailed single-line diagrams, layout drawings, cable sizing, and load calculations.
• Review and evaluate technical drawings, specifications, and documents.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site inspections, and grid impact assessments.
• Support procurement by specifying electrical components and evaluating vendor proposals.
• Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, health & safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including civil, mechanical, and project management.
• Prepare technical reports, BOQs, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in audits, quality assurance processes, and project review meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in electrical engineering within the renewable energy sector (solar, wind, hybrid systems preferred).
• Proficient in AutoCAD, ETAP, PVSyst, or similar electrical design software.
• Good understanding of electrical codes (NEC, IEC), protection systems, grounding, and earthing design.
• Experience with grid-tied and off-grid systems, inverters, and battery storage integration.
• Strong project execution and site supervision skills.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication abilities.
• Ability to travel to project sites when required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certification or license (e.g., COREN, IEEE membership).
• Knowledge of SCADA systems and remote monitoring platforms.
• Experience working with utility-scale renewable energy projects.

Salary
N200,000 - N300,000 Monthly.
