We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Project Assistant (DTM / Field Operations)
S/he will coordinate, in close collaboration with the partners in the field, the data collection process & analysis in the region s / he has been assigned to:
Plan, coordinate & implement strategies to collect, analyse & disseminate data on Internally Displaced Persons (IDP's) in close collaboration with the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), the Nigerian Red Cross Society (NRCS) & other relevant partners on the field.
Provide training & support to relevant partners on data collection & analysis based on the DTM’s methodology & tools.
Monitor & evaluate the DTM operations, identifying areas of improvement & enhanced efficiency.
Be responsible for all administrative arrangements in the field, including payment of staff, review, adjustment, endorsement of bills & invoices.
Be responsible for sending the information collected on the field in a timely manner, according to the standards & requirements of the DTM program.
Keep abreast of all stakeholders, interagency assessments, reports & relevant material related to IDP's.
Prepare a narrative report regarding the implementation of activities on a weekly basis.
Represent the DTM program in all meetings & events organized at the local level.
Build the capacity of our clients staff involved in DTM activities.
Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Project Reporting:
This role will work under the overall supervision of Chief of Mission & the direct supervision of the Head of Office in Katsina, with technical guidance of the Program Officer Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) as an additional supervisor.
Key Competencies
University Degree / Diploma in humanitarian, political or social science or related field.
Minimum of four years’ experience (two years for degree holders) in a related field.
Experience in statistical tools, reporting & liaising with government authorities preferably within the international humanitarian field.
Must be fluent in English & working knowledge of one or more languages spoken in the Katsina & Zamfara states is required.
Maintains high ethical standards & acts in a manner consistent with organizational principles / rules & standards of conduct.
Demonstrates ability to work in a composed, competent, committed manner & exercises careful judgment in meeting day to day challenges.

Proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Office tools is an advantage.

Inter personal skills & very sociable disposition stemming from proven experience.
Team Management:
This role has no team management responsibility.
