Fundraising Officer (Individual Giving) at the Nigerian Red Cross Society (NRCS)

Posted on Thu 03rd Jul, 2025 - hotnigerianjobs.com --- (0 comments)

The Nigerian Red Cross Society (NRCS) was established through an Act of the Parliament in 1960 to complement public authorities in humanitarian interventions with the mandate to prevent and alleviate human suffering at times of peace or conflict, and to support individuals and communities to respond effectively to emergencies, without any form of discrimination as to class, gender, race, political opinions or religion.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Fundraising Officer (Individual Giving)

Location: Abuja
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

  • The ideal candidate for this role is a highly motivated, organized, and data-driven fundraising professional.
  • Reporting to the General Manager of Fundraising, the Individual Giving Fundraiser will play a key role in the planning and delivery of The Nigerian Red Cross Society’s Individual Regular Giving program.
  • The Individual Giving Fundraiser will manage and deliver high-quality supporter acquisition, conversion, reactivation, and retention campaigns.
  • The individual must be a dynamic strategic thinker with a proven track-record of building and managing successful on-line campaigns with sound knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the GM Fundraising with the development and delivery of NRCS Regular Giving Program which will deliver vital unrestricted income.
  • Project management of high-quality supporter acquisition, reactivation, upgrade, and retention campaigns which are designed to engage new supporters and develop relationships with existing supporters.
  • Prepare campaign schedules and budgets and have overall responsibility for ensuring campaigns in the Regular Giving Program are executed on time and on budget.
  • To develop and deliver design and messaging for campaigns within the Regular Giving Program. Identify cause-related messaging that demonstrates impact and motivates people to support the NRCS.
  • Work closely with teams across the NRCS to identify priority funding needs and generate content to feature as part of the Regular Giving program.
  • CRM and Data Management. Assist with the management of the donor database and be proficient in using fundraising CRM systems (RE/NXT would be an advantage) – including data inputting, data selection, and utilization of analytical tools.
  • Assist with the data strategy and take end-to-end responsibility of data selection, data segmentation, and data export for campaigns in the Regular Giving program.
  • Engage in detailed campaign monitoring reporting and analysis of campaign results through the development of end-of-campaign reviews with recommendations to maximize future campaign income.
  • Ensure the CRM database is up to date, and records are accurate.
  • Follow best practices and comply with relevant legislation and fundraising regulations.
  • Participate in the day-to-day work of the organization – such as reporting, attending team meetings and events as required, and taking a flexible approach to general administrative and support tasks.
  • Contribute to the wider fundraising team, taking a proactive approach to working in a high performing and collaborative environment.

Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Digital Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in individual fund-raising, donor relations, or related fields.
  • Experience of managing supporter data through a CRM system (RE/NXT would be an advantage).
  • Experience of managing campaigns featuring data analytics, segmentation, and reporting.
  • Proven experience in the design and delivery of innovative and effective digital communications on a variety of channels.
  • Excellent computer skills and working experience with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, e-marketing software, and database packages. High standard of computer literacy.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Proactive, adaptable, and results-driven approach
  • Commitment to the humanitarian mission of the Nigerian Red Cross Society

Behavioral Requirements:

All personnel are expected to adhere strictly to the National Society PSEA policy and code of conduct, which outlines expected conduct and reporting mechanisms. Candidates may be assessed on their understanding and commitment to PSEA during the interview process.
