Job Overview

• We seek a hands-on Finance Manager to lead our Operational Finance function at Rivy. The ideal candidate must possess significant expertise in financial reporting, consolidated financial statement preparation, and operational oversight and will have experience working in a lending business.
• This crucial role will ensure financial integrity and regulatory compliance while supporting Rivy’s growth through accurate reporting and robust financial management.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Accounting:

• Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements per relevant regulatory standards.
• Maintain oversight of general ledger accuracy, reconciliations, and the processing of journal entries.
• Supervise the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accuracy and timely completion.

Operational Finance & Controls:

• Monitor daily financial operations, including cash flow management, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Develop and implement internal controls to protect company assets and improve the accuracy of financial data.
• Ensure the finance team adheres to proper documentation and established procedures.

Regulatory Compliance & Audit:

• Guarantee compliance with all applicable tax regulations, statutory requirements, and financial services laws.
• Serve as the primary point of contact with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
• Lead and provide support for both internal and external audit processes.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and mentor the accountant, fostering professional growth and ensuring the delivery of high-quality work.
• Define operational finance team goals, offer constructive feedback, and monitor individual performance against company objectives.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years in financial management, including at least 2 years of managerial experience within a lending firm.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare financial statements and oversee accounting operations.
• Comprehensive understanding of IFRS, tax regulations, and financial compliance.
• Advanced skills in Excel and accounting software.
• Exceptional leadership, analytical, and communication abilities.

Salary
N1,000,000 - N1,200,000 / Month.
