Job Summary
The Head of Operations will lead the transformation and professionalisation of CcHUB’s support functions, ensuring efficient, scalable, and compliant operations across all geographies.
This role will oversee the administration, IT, procurement, and facilities management functions, driving process excellence, strong internal controls, and cost-effective service delivery.
A critical part of the role is providing strategic and operational leadership on premises and facilities management, ensuring that all locations are fit-for-purpose, optimised for efficiency, and support the organisation’s growth across Africa.
The Head of Operations will work closely with other senior leaders to strengthen business continuity, operational risk management, and regulatory compliance as CcHUB maintains its Pan-African footprint.
Duties and Responsibilities
Operations Strategy & Transformation:
Lead the professionalisation of CcHUB’s operations, consolidating and streamlining administrative, IT, procurement, and facilities management functions under one cohesive strategy.
Develop and implement operational policies, SOPs, and tools to ensure efficiency, scalability, and compliance across all offices and hubs.
Drive the digitization of operational processes and optimise the use of technology in operations and admin services.
Premises & Facility Management:
Provide strategic advice to leadership on premises optimisation, working towards securing fit-for-purpose locations in all CcHUB hubs, including transitions to owned premises where appropriate (e.g., Nigeria).
Lead ongoing assessment of real estate needs, space optimisation, cost-effectiveness, and environmental sustainability of all hubs and partner spaces.
Oversee maintenance, health & safety, and compliance across all CcHUB-owned and supported premises.
Procurement & Vendor Management:
Establish a centralised procurement system, ensuring competitive sourcing, transparent processes, and alignment with donor compliance requirements.
Manage contracts and service-level agreements with vendors, ensuring service quality and cost optimisation.
Develop vendor performance management frameworks.
IT Infrastructure and Digital Tools Management:
Oversee IT service delivery, infrastructure, and digital systems across all locations, ensuring reliable and secure operations.
Implement cybersecurity and data protection protocols in line with regulatory and donor requirements.
Support the implementation of digital productivity and collaboration tools across the organization.
Internal Controls, Compliance & Risk Management:
Strengthen internal controls across operations, procurement, and facilities to ensure full compliance with financial, safeguarding, and donor requirements.
Collaborate with the Finance, PMU, and People teams to ensure that risk registers, audits, and compliance plans are in place and effectively implemented.
Lead operational readiness and business continuity planning across locations.
Team Leadership & Capacity Building:
Lead and build the Operations team to create a high-performing, customer-focused unit.
Mentor and support staff in their professional growth and development, aligning with organisational values.
Promote a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Professional certifications in Operations, Facilities Management, Procurement, or IT Service Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, CIPS, IFMA, ITIL) are desirable.
Essential:
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Strategic and operational planning capability.
Expertise in facilities management and real estate advisory.
Sound knowledge of procurement best practices and contract management.
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and operations in a multi-country, multi-location organization.
Excellent risk management and internal control orientation.
Strong financial and budgeting literacy as it relates to operations.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years progressive operations leadership experience in a mid-to-large scale organization, preferably across multiple African markets.
Proven track record of leading operations transformation or professionalisation efforts.
Experience managing facilities in dynamic, creative, or technology-driven work environments.
Experience supporting donor-funded and grant-funded programs is an advantage.
