Now, they’re ready to take the next leap: launching W2A Capital, our dedicated investment arm anchored by our planned Diaspora and Donor-backed Agri-Impact Fund. To get there, They need an exceptional leader who will bring this vision to life

They are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head of Investment and Trade Facilitation (Pre Incorporation)

Location: Abuja (FCT) (with flexibility for regional and international travel as needed)
Reports To: Founder & CEO, Welcome2Africa International, Senior Lead, Strategic Finance and Group Operations

Role Purpose

• As Head of Investment and Trade Facilitation — W2A Capital Lead (Pre-Incorporation), you won’t just manage a pipeline — you’ll shape a legacy.
• You will own the journey from engaging investors and structuring deals today to securing anchor donors and development finance, to ultimately designing the structure, governance, and partnerships that will birth W2A Capital as an independent, credible, impact-driven investment vehicle. Your success will clear the path for you to become the Founding Managing Director when W2A Capital launches.

What You’ll Be Doing
Turn Relationships Into Capital & Impact:

• Expand and energies our Investors Club — turning interest into real commitments.
• Match our credible, verified pipelines to investors who share our vision for Africa’s prosperity.
• Lead practical deal structuring and closure that unlocks livelihoods and local value.

Unlock Development Finance & Donor Partnerships:

• Build bridges to donors, development finance institutions, and catalytic capital players.
• Design blended finance models that blend diaspora, donor, and commercial capital in a way that is smart, scalable, and bankable.
• Represent W2A at donor roundtables and high-level convenings — making our story impossible to ignore.

Align Trade & Investment For Real Outcomes:

• Ensure every event — the EU–Nigeria Forum, diaspora roadshows, or state-level trade missions — is more than talk. It must generate real deal flow and partnerships that feed W2A Capital’s pipeline.

Lay the Foundation for W2A Capital:

• Shape the legal, governance, and operational backbone of W2A Capital.
• Build and coordinate investment committees, advisory boards, and governance structures that anchor investor trust.
• Prepare the strategy and compliance framework that moves W2A Capital from idea to legally incorporated reality.

Inspire & Report:

• Keep our CEO, board, and core team clearly informed — showing progress, bottlenecks, wins, and lessons.
• Inspire confidence in everyone from smallholders to diaspora angels to big donors — you are the bridge between the vision and the transactions.

 What You’ll Bring

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 7-10 years work experience.
• A proven track record in investment banking, development finance, blended finance, or impact fund structuring — with tangible deals closed.
• Deep understanding of donor priorities, DFI processes, and how to turn catalytic capital into real pipelines.
• Practical experience designing investment committees, governance frameworks, and compliance systems for a credible fund launch.
• Comfort working in emerging market contexts — you get how to turn complexity into practical execution.
• Natural relationship-builder — with a network you’re proud of and a reputation that opens doors.
• Unshakable belief in the power of capital, trade, and local value creation to transform communities sustainably.
