Borno State University is in Maiduguri, Borno State, Nigeria. It was established in 2016. It is made up of four Faculties and College of Health Sciences as follows; Agriculture, Arts and Education, Sciences, Social and Management Sciences and College of Health Sciences. In addition, it has a Centre for Research & Development and Center for Kanuri Ajami and Qur'anic Studies.

Requirements

• Candidates must be holders of Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Library & Information Science from recognized Universities.
• Candidates with Ph.D Degree in Library & Information Science will have an added advantage.
• Candidates must have been on the rank rank of Assistant Librarian in the University system with at least 3 years cognate experience.
• Candidates must also have evidence of publications in learned journals in University and apex research / training institutes or participation in at least two (2) professional / research projects.
• Candidates must be members of NLA and registered with LRCN.
• Candidates must also have evidence of NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
