Job Title: D2R Lead Generation and Collections Associate
Location: Lafia, Nasarawa (with regular travel to Husk MiniGrids locations)

Role Summary
Husk is seeking a Lead Generation and Collections Associate to join our growing team in Nigeria.
This role is critical in driving lead generation, managing customer databases, and ensuring timely EMI collections from D2R customers.
The Associate will support sales and collections initiatives, working closely with the D2R Retail Manager to meet monthly sales and revenue targets.
You will be responsible for maintaining trustful customer relationships while ensuring prompt (re)payments.
This includes owning the collections portfolio, following up on outstanding payments, and providing support during high-volume periods or absences. The ideal candidate is professional, self-motivated, and has strong communication and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Customer Engagement:
Identify and capture new leads through community engagement, field activations, and referrals.
Maintain and update the lead tracker with accurate information daily.
Conduct regular follow-ups with leads and support onboarding of new D2R customers.
Regularly visit assigned communities to support lead generation and collection efforts.
Organize and participate in market activations and demonstration campaigns for new and existing sites.
Collections Management:
Monitor customer accounts to identify overdue, outstanding, and delinquent payments.
Contact customers ahead of due dates and follow up with defaulting clients via calls, SMS, and field visits.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection efforts and account status.
Ensure all collection practices align with company policy and relevant legal guidelines, while adhering to Husk’s customer-first principles.
Design and implement strategies and SOPs to improve repayment rates, including customer incentives and multi-touch engagement.
Cross-functional Coordination & Reporting:
Liaise with the sales, customer engagement, and operations teams to address repayment challenges and seek collaboration when necessary.
Share daily, weekly, and monthly collection and performance reports with relevant stakeholders.
Recommend improvements to support monthly GTM planning based on field insights and customer feedback.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
2 years plus experience in collections and credit management, relationship management from the banking, services or consumer goods sector.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and field tracking tools.
Ability to travel within assigned communities frequently.
Business level fluency in major Nigerian languages, a plus.
