Job Title: Search Engine Optimization Specialist

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Description

• We are seeking a highly skilled SEO Specialist with proven experience in optimizing and managing Google My Business (GMB) listings.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving organic traffic, improving online visibility, and ensuring our business is accurately represented across all digital platforms, especially on local search.
• The candidate should be passionate about search engine optimization, has an analytical mindset to help us drive our digital marketing initiatives to the next level.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage SEO strategies to increase the company's online visibility and improve search engine rankings.
• Manage and optimize Google My Business (GMB) listings across all business locations.
• Collaborate with content, design, and development teams to create SEO-friendly content and implement on-site optimization.
• Perform comprehensive keyword research to identify high-impact opportunities for organic traffic growth.
• Provide technical SEO support and oversee crawling, indexing, XML sitemap generation and implementation, schema markup, etc.
• Optimize website content, metadata, URLs, and internal linking for improved rankings.
• Conduct site audits to identify and address technical issues affecting search performance (e.g., crawl errors, broken links, page load speed)
• Track, report, and analyze SEO performance metrics, including organic traffic, rankings, and conversion rates bi-weekly.
• Provide regular performance reports and insights to the CEO, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in as an SEO Specialist or similar role.
• Experience managing and optimizing Google My Business (GMB) profiles with a proven track record of driving organic growth.
• Strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods
• Expertise in SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs.
• Strong writing and editing skills, with experience producing high-quality, SEO-optimized content.
• Proven experience in conducting keyword research, on-page and off-page optimization, and link-building strategies.
• Solid knowledge of local SEO practices and GMB insights
• Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) and basic HTML for SEO optimization.
