Job Title: Well Test Engineer
Locations: Port Harcourt, Rivers and Lagos
Job Summary
The Well Test Engineer plays a crucial role in the drilling and production process by ensuring that the wells are fully operational.
They are responsible for designing, executing and analyzing well tests to evaluate well performance and reservoir functionalities.
They form part of a team that is responsible and accountable for all aspects of well test operations and activities covering planning, equipment, personnel and management of third-party equipment.

Responsibilities
Responsible for supporting the day to day Well Intervention Operations and planning routine Well Test Programs in line with company, safety and industry standards.
Ensures data is collected accurately and presented professionally to achieve a high quality report for the client.
Liaises with Operations Supervisor (Onshore) to ensure they are fully aware of offshore/onshore operations.
Compiles end of job report to required standard in a timely and efficient manner.
Attend pre and post-job meetings with clients.
Actively participates in and promotes company health and safety campaigns, policies and procedures.
To ensure that all well test operations conducted are as per the client’s standards.
Planning, engineering, Contractor selection, program writing and coordinating various rig-less and rig based well testing operations in a safe and efficient manner and within budget.
Manage the well testing operations in strict compliance with company's well engineering standards and guidelines and seek dispensations for any deviations.
Lead and promote company's HSE policies, life savers and culture in all aspects of well testing operations.
Contract administration for well testing services contracts that may be required to execute the planned well testing activities in compliance to company policies. This includes preparing tender specifications, tender evaluation and post contract award contract administration in association with contract & procurement team.
Conduct and approve mock rig up and acceptance tests of well test equipment, closely working with Well test Contractor Field supervision for well test operations on offshore rig.
QC of well test reports. Maintenance of the well test files
Establish and ensure compliance with operation specific task hazard & risk assessments.
To propose and evaluate new technology for suitable usage to address complex well testing requirements.
Ensure Pre/Post job maintenance, job execution, rig up and rig down of well test equipment.
Responsible for loading and unloading of correct equipment being shipped and arriving on the site for the job or job type to be undertaken.
Accept equipment deliveries as well as load equipment for departure ensuring proper documentation is filed correctly.
Responsible for the safe and proper use of hand tools.
Check process fluids for basic sediment and water, chlorides, Ph, water weight, CO2, H2S and take samples as per Well Test Supervisors instructions.
Gather and record data and operate equipment as instructed by Well Test Supervisor which include but are not limited to Exploration/Production/In line Well Testing, Clean Ups, Stimulation Recovery, Clean Out and Flow Back to customer and Company standards of excellence.
Repair and service of equipment in shop and recording of both in cooperation with Well Test Supervisor.
Recording and submission of all chargeable and non-chargeable activities inclusive of services as well as maintenance and repairs to customers and Well Test Supervisor.
Practice proper communication and notify Supervisor of any potential problems with safety, equipment or job performance.
Service and care of assigned field service vehicle, assigned tools and control of any inventory carried in field service vehicle.
Requirements
BSc / HND from a recognized University with a minimum of Second-Class Upper Division (2.1)/Upper Credit in Engineering.
Membership of a professional body
4 – 15 years’ experience in well testing or a related field, such as drilling or completion operations etc
Training/Skills Required:
Basic Offshore Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET)
Well Test Training
Offshore Medical Certificate
Technical expertise in well testing and reservoir engineering
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Communication and teamwork skills.
