Job Title: Divisional Head, Corporate Finance
Location: Lagos
Job Summary
The role will take the lead in delivering and project managing corporate finance related projects and support the GCFO in M&A activity, shareholder related transactions and company/group corporate restructurings.
Responsibilities
Leveraging off our shared service model, the role will:
Project manage virtual teams comprising team members in and outside finance to deliver transactions and corporate finance projects that are material to the group and can ‘move the dial’ of corporate performance
Act as the first point of contact for advisors and 3rd parties
Prepare board quality papers for approval and decision making aligned with market standards and practice
Develop and maintain excel models supporting transactions
Negotiate term sheets for transactions and liaise with legal on transaction documentation
Negotiate terms and conditions with professional advisors for work to be carried out
Support the GCFO directly in deal origination and delivery
Interact internally and externally at a senior level and represent Interswitch externally as appropriate in negotiations and event related activities
Qualifications
2:1 or above University First Degree in a numerate discipline
Preferably professional qualified in a relevant discipline (Chartered Banker, Analyst, Accountant)
Experience:
10 years + experience within a finance related role
Experience of Banking / Payments / Fintech helpful but not essential
Project management of complex transactions through their life cycle a plus
Demonstrated experience of working to deliver quality output to tight timescales.
