It is an organization established to motivate, organize and unite people with an interest in community development agenda focusing on Protection, Environment, Education, Health and Peace Building.

Job Title: ICT Officer
Location: Yobe

Job Purpose
The ICT Officer is responsible for managing the organization’s information and communications technology infrastructure, with a special focus on digital innovation, including website development and maintenance, mobile application support, and database management.
The officer will also provide technical support to staff, ensure data security, and lead digital transformation initiatives that support the organization’s mission and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
ICT Infrastructure and User Support:
Provide database support for data entry, cleaning, backup, and reporting processes.
Train staff on the use of databases and data collection tools such as ODK, KoboToolbox, or DHIS2.
Ensure proper access controls and data integrity in all digital repositories.
Cybersecurity and Data Protection:
Implement IT security protocols to safeguard organizational data and systems.
Monitor system vulnerabilities and apply software patches, firewalls, and antivirus updates.
Conduct regular data backups, simulate recovery drills, and ensure secure storage.
Enforce data privacy policies and compliance with global data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, NDPR).
System and Application Administration:
Administer user accounts, email systems (e.g., Office365, Gmail), cloud services, and internal file sharing platforms.
Maintain licenses, software inventories, and ensure all systems are up-to-date.
Support the integration and deployment of organization-wide systems (e.g., CRM, HRMIS, ERP).
Capacity Building and Documentation:
Train staff on ICT tools, digital literacy, and cybersecurity best practices.
Prepare technical documentation, user manuals, and training guides for digital systems.
Develop and implement ICT policies, procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
Strategic ICT Support:
Contribute to the development and implementation of the organization’s digital transformation and ICT strategy.
Stay updated with emerging technologies relevant to program delivery, communication, and digital engagement.
Provide technical input in project proposals where ICT components (digital platforms, e-tools) are included.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive experience in ICT support, web and database management, and digital development.
Proven experience developing and managing WordPress websites and basic coding (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP).
Experience with mobile application development (e.g., Flutter, React Native, Android Studio) is an advantage.
Strong command of database platforms like MySQL, PostgreSQL, and data collection tools (KoboToolbox, ODK).
Experience working in nonprofit, humanitarian, or development contexts is desirable.

Commitment to safeguarding, digital security, and data protection.
Desirable Attributes:
Certification in relevant areas (e.g., Cisco CCNA, Microsoft Certified: Azure,
Google IT Support, WordPress developer).
Familiarity with digital tools used in program M&E, beneficiary registration, and reporting.
Understanding of ICT4D (ICT for Development) and digital inclusion principles.
