Job Title: Senior Mobile Engineer

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Role Overview

• We are seeking a talented and innovative Senior Mobile Developer to join our dynamic technology team.
• The ideal candidate will have strong cross-platform development skills, with expertise in React Native, and deep knowledge of either iOS or Android native development.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, responsive mobile applications.
• Create clean, efficient, and well-documented code using React Native.
• Collaborate with product and engineering team to deliver exceptional user experiences.
• Implement complex features and optimize application performance.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions - Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing applications.
• Ensure application compatibility across multiple device types and screen sizes.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services.
• Stay updated with latest mobile development trends and technologies.

Required Technical Skills

• 4+ years of professional mobile development experience.
• Expert-level knowledge of React Native.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Comprehensive understanding of iOS or Android native development.
• Experience with state management solutions (React Context, Redux, Zustand).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
• Version control using Git.
• Understanding of mobile UX/UI design principles.
• AI and LLMs.

Testing and Quality Assurance Specific Skills:

• Ability to design comprehensive test cases.
• Experience with test-driven development (TDD).
• Proficiency in writing automated tests.
• Understanding of performance testing methodologies.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) testing pipelines.
• Knowledge of mobile app performance profiling and optimization.

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication abilities.
• Problem-solving mindset.

• Ability to learn and adapt quickly.
• Detail-oriented with high quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with Firebase or similar backend services.
• Experience with AWS.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with performance optimization and app store deployment.
