Job Title: College Director of Works

Location: Arochukwu, Abia

Job Description

• The Director of Works is the Chief Engineer and Works supervisor and controls the entire works department.
• He/ she would however, be responsible to the Provost. He/She is responsible for all matters relating to the day-to-day management and operations of the College Works Department.

Requirements
Candidates for the post of Director of Works must possess the following requirements:

• A good honour Degree in Engineering, Quantity Survey, Architecture or related fields, B. Eng. or HND from a reputable Institution of Higher learning with 21 years of cognate experience plus full registration with COREN/NSE or other professional bodies. 
• Must possess relevant a master's  Degree from a recognized Institution of higher learning. Possession of a Doctorate Degree is an added advantage. 
• Evidence of attendance of a continuous mandatory professional engineering course is required. 
• Proficiency in Information and communication Technology (ICT) 
• Must have been a Deputy Director of works in any Tertiary Institution for at least five (5) years. 
• Candidates must come from a Tertiary Institution. 

Tenure:

• A single term of five (5) years only. 

Remuneration and Conditions of Service

• Specified in the terms and conditions of service for staff of Abia State College of Education, and according to other conditions approved by the Governing Council in consultation with the National Commission for Colleges of Education.
