Job Title: Senior Technical Site Engineer

Job Summary
The Senior Technical Site Engineer will be responsible for leading and managing all technical aspects of construction and fit-out projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and engineering principles.
This role requires a strong understanding of architectural design intent, technical coordination, and construction methodology.
You will work closely with the Site Manager, Project Manager, design team, and subcontractors to ensure accurate implementation of technical details and smooth site operations.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Oversight:
Interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to provide accurate technical direction to the site team.
Ensure all works are executed in line with approved technical specifications, standards, and design intent.
Conduct regular site inspections to verify work quality and compliance with drawings.
Project Coordination:
Collaborate with the design and project teams to resolve technical discrepancies
Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely resolution of technical issues
Assist in managing material specifications and technical submissions.
Quality Assurance:
Implement robust quality control processes to ensure technical standards are maintained.
Track and review all shop drawings, as-built drawings, and ensure they meet project requirements.
Proactively identify and resolve construction and engineering issues.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive records of technical changes, RFIs, site instructions, and variations.
Prepare and submit regular technical progress reports and documentation using tools like Excel, MS Word, or construction management software.
Support the Project Manager with site-based technical reports and site meeting documentation.
Team Leadership:
Supervise junior site engineers.
Provide on-site guidance to subcontractors and vendors to ensure technical compliance.
Ensure adherence to safety standards, site protocols, and engineering procedures.
Key Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building Technology, or related field.
Minimum of 4–6 years experience in a similar role, preferably within the commercial interior design or architectural fit-out industry.
Proficiency in interpreting and implementing architectural and engineering drawings.
Solid knowledge of building codes, construction techniques, and industry best practices.
Familiarity with software tools such as AutoCAD, MS Projects, Revit, and construction management platforms like Asana or Trello.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Strong leadership ability with a proactive approach to project delivery.
