Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer to join our team.
The Electrical / Instrumentation Engineer will be responsible for preparation and review of all Electrical and Instrumentation Design deliverables.
He shall oversees the design, installation, maintenance, and optimization of electrical and instrumentation systems, ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency, while also timely completion of projects, within scope and budget.
This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, excellent communication skils, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
The Electrical/Instrumentation will play a crucial role in providing technical expertise and support in Electrical Instrumentation Engineering for onshore gas EPC projects.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for all Civil and Structural Engineering related activities, including but not limited to the following:
Develop Electrical/Instrumentation designs, plans, philosophies, procedures, drawings and calculations.
Oversee the design of electrical and instrument control systems and their integration with other systems.
Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical instrument related issues during installation and commissioning.
Participate in design review, HAZOPIHAZID, 3D Model Review Workshops. Develop as-built of existing gas plant E&l systems.
Follow-up with Vendors/Contractors and review of Vendors and/or Third-Party electrical/instrumentation Design Deliverables, ensuring compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and applicable codes.
Provide electrical and instrumentation support to all ongoing projects, including existing gas plant operations.
Preparation of calculations, design drawings and specifications, and perform construction administration tasks.
Manage projects related to electrical and instrumentation systems, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Develop electrical and instrumentation scope of work and Invitation to Tenderibid documentation.
Any other activity/tasks dedicated to by the Project Engineer.
Maintain thorough documentation of project activities, including plans, designs, reports, and updates.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of civil structural components with other systems.
Key Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of experience in EPCI project engineering or a related field.
Proficient in Electrical and Instrumentation engineering software, with strong understanding of engineering principles.
Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, including PLCs, DCSS, and SCADA systems.
Proficiency in using AutoCAD software for creating electrical and instrumentation drawings.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information.
Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
Ability to troubleshoot issues and think critically to solve complex problems.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
COREN Registered Engineer.
Proven experience in the Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) industry in designing facilities for Oil and Gas Processing and transportation (pipelines).
Ability to Mentor less experienced team members.
Experience in basic engineering, FEED and detail engineering projects.
Strong understanding of relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
