Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Civil / Structural Engineer to join our team.
The Civil / Structural Engineer will be responsible for preparation and review of all Civil and Structural Design deliverables.
He shall oversee the design, analysis, and construction of civil and structural projects, ensuring safety and compliance, while also managing teams, including vendors follow-up to ensure the Civil / Structural design are completed on time, within scope and budget.
This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
The Civil / Structural Engineer will play a crucial role in providing technical expertise and support in Civil Structural Engineering for onshore gas EPC projects. Working on-site, the senior Civil Structural Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the efficient design, installation, construction, maintenance, and integrity of the Civil Structural works, contributing to the overall success of the project.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for all Civil and Structural Engineering related activities, including but not limited to the following:
Develop civilstructural designs, plans, philosophies, procedures, drawings and calculations
Perform structural analyses to ensure the safety and durability of structures.
Analyze existing structures to identify potential issues and recommend solutions.
Follow-up with Vendors/Contractors and review of Vendors and/or Third-Party Chill Structural Design Deliverables, ensuring compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and applicable codes.
Provide Civil Structural Support to all ongoing projects, including existing gas plant operations.
Preparation of calculations, design drawings and specifications, and perform construction administration tasks.
Develop Civil / Structural Scope of work and Invitation to Tender/bid documentation. Oversee all civil and structural construction works to ensure adherence to plans and specifications.
Manage budgets and timelines for projects.
Communicate effectively with all parties involved in the project.
Identify and resolve technical issues that arise during the design and construction process.
Make recommendations for improvements to designs and construction methods.
Any other activity dedicated to by the Project Engineer.
Maintain thorough documentation of project activities, including plans, designs, reports, and updates.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of civil structural components with other systems.
Key Skills and Qualifications
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of experience in EPCI project engineering or a related field.
Proficient in Civilstructural engineering software (e.g. Staad Pro, PDMS, Tekla etc) with a strong understanding of engineering principles.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information.
Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
Ability to troubleshoot issues and think critically to solve complex problems. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
COREN Registered Engineer
Proven experience in the Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) industry in designing facilities for Oil and Gas Processing and transportation (pipelines).
Ability to Mentor less experienced team members.
Experience in basic engineering, FEED and detail engineering projects.
Strong understanding of relevant codes, standards, and regulations
