Job Title: Mechanical / Piping Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Mechanical / Piping engineer to join our team.
The Mechanical / Piping Engineer will be responsible for preparation and review of all Mechanical / Piping Design deliverables, including vendors follow- up to ensure the Mechanical/Piping design are completed on time, within scope and budget.
This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
The Mechanical/Piping engineer will play a crucial role in providing technical expertise and support in Mechanical/Piping engineering for onshore gas EPC projects.
Working on-site, the senior piping engineer will be responsible for ensuring the efficient design, installation, construction, maintenance, and integrity of piping systems, contributing to the overall success of the project.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for all Piping and Mechanical Engineering related activities, including but not limited to the following:
Develop scope of work and Invitation to Tender/bid documentation.
Provide Mechanical / Piping Support to all ongoing projects.
Follow-up with Vendors / Contractors and review of all Contractor Issued mechanical / piping deliverables, ensuring compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and applicable codes.
Develop equipment and piping system layouts, isometric drawings, and 3D models using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
Prepare equipment design calculations.
Provide Mechanical / Piping Engineering support during the procurement, construction and installation phases of the project.
Prepare technical specifications, material selection, and piping standards for projects.
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate piping systems into overall facility designs.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards during Mechanical / Piping design and construction; addressing factors such as material selection, containment measures, and emergency response plans etc.
Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Incorporate energy-efficient design principles and sustainable practices into piping systems, such as insulation, heat recovery, and water conservation measures.
Support gas plant operations on project related activities.
Address technical issues and project challenges, providing solutions to keep the project on track
Any other activity dedicated to by the Project Engineer.
Maintain thorough documentation of project activities, including plans, designs, reports, and updates.
Provide Mechanical/Piping engineering expertise and technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of mechanical components with other systems.
Requirements
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of experience in EPCI project engineering or a related field.
Proficient in Mechanical/Piping engineering software (e.g. AutoCAD, PDMS, Navis Work, PV Elite etc.), with a strong understanding of engineering principles.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information.
Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
Ability to troubleshoot issues and think critically to solve complex problems.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
COREN Registered Engineer.
Proven experience in the Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) industry in designing facilities for Oil and Gas Processing and transportation (pipelines). Ability to Mentor less experienced team members.
Experience in basic engineering, FEED and detail engineering projects. Strong understanding of relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
