The creation of UN Women came about as part of the UN reform agenda, bringing together resources and mandates for greater impact. It merges and builds on the important work of four previously distinct parts of the UN system (DAW, OSAGI, INSTRAW and UNIFEM), which focused exclusively on gender equality and women's empowerment.

Job Summary
UN Women is seeking the expertise of a qualified consultant to collate and build a well-organized repository of products developed through the implementation of the Ford Foundation Funded LEAP Project.
The Consultant will further support drafting and review of donor and country office reports related to the LEAP Project.
This process is intended to streamline the knowledge products, making it easier for organization to make informed decision.
The consultant will work closely with UN Women to deliver on the following elements:
Collate, curate, and build a repository of all knowledge products (policy briefs, toolkits, declarations, case studies, etc.) produced under the LEAP Project.
Lead the documentation of best practices, lessons learned, and stories of change from community-level engagements and state partnerships.
Develop and implement a dissemination plan targeting government stakeholder, donors, CSOs, traditional/religious networks, and regional partners.
Designing and packaging of advocacy toolkits for traditional and religious leaders.
Coordinate knowledge sharing events and learning exchanges, including a national knowledge-sharing session in July 2025.
Manage content development and reporting for the final donor report and legacy knowledge products.
Ensure that all products are submitted in editable and design-ready formats and maintain a documentation trail of inputs and revisions.
Requirements
Education and Certification:
Master’s degree or equivalent in knowledge and information Management, social science and arts related disciplines
A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
A project/programme management certification would be an added advantage
Experience:
At least four of experience working on issues of gender-based violence, gender equality, and women’s rights, human rights, and or global development
Proven experience in knowledge management consulting, with a track record of successful projects.
Excellent communication and training facilitation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Language Requirements:
Fluency in English is required.
Working knowledge of more than one Nigerian language is desirable;
Working knowledge of another official UN language is an asset;
Deliverables:
Deliverable 1: Collate, oversee and handover a repository of knowledge products and lessons learned developed by UN Women and partners throughout the life cycle of the LEAP Project ensuring cross-country office dissemination and awareness of the KM products
Deliverable 2: Documentation of success stories, human-interest case studies, and community-led innovations
Deliverable 3: Support development of advocacy toolkits and evidence-based policy briefs
Deliverable 4: Outline and support dissemination plan of knowledge products developed within the LEAP Project products including with civil society organisations, government, donor partners and the private sector
Deliverable 5: Provide substantive inputs to donor and country office annual reports as the align with the LEAP Project and wider Ending Violence Against Women thematic area
Deliverable 6: Support lessons learned and monitoring and evaluation exercises in collaboration with UN Women M&E team and the Spotlight Initiative PMU with the verification of the data in the reports submitted by UN Women ‘s implementing partners on the Spotlight Initiative
Deliverable 7: Provide all completed final products, tools, datasets, infographics, and raw files to UN Women.
