We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Structural Engineer

REF: SSE
Location: Nigeria

Objectives

• Provide technical expertise throughout the project life cycle ensuring structural integrity, safety, stability and durability of structures.
• Ensure that project deliverables meet design specifications, comply with building & structural codes, and optimize cost-effectiveness.

Duties & Responsibilities / Deliverables

• Design and Analysis: Develop and review structural designs for buildings and infrastructure, ensuring they meet safety standards and comply with building codes and regulations.
• Project Management: Oversee and coordinate structural engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams, promoting best practices in structural engineering.
• Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve structural engineering issues during the design and construction phases, using analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
• Collaboration: Work closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the structural integrity of projects, facilitating effective communication and collaboration between teams.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections and assessments to ensure the quality and integrity of construction work, identifying any deficiencies or areas for improvement.
• Innovation: Stay updated with the latest advancements in structural engineering technologies and methods, and apply innovative solutions to enhance project outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Structural, Building & Construction or Civil Engineering from a reputable University.
• Post-graduate Degrees) will be added advantage.
• Professional certification and accreditation by the
• Nigerian Society of Engineers is a requirement.
• Proven expertise with a minimum of 17 years of relevant experience in the structural design and construction industry
• Certification in Project Management is an added advantage
• Ability to multitask, including coordinating and managing several projects, with solid project and change management skills.
• Ability to align, inspire and influence
  outsourced/external partners and teams for results.
• A can-do attitude, strong leadership, and organizational management skills.
• Good problem solving, innovation, analytical, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Membership of professional bodies, like COREN, elc, essential.
