Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Executive/Manager to drive growth and expand our market presence within the MEP sector.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and achieving sales targets.
This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of success in business development within the construction or engineering industry, specifically with a strong understanding of MEP services.
Responsibilities
Market Research and Opportunity Identification: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, projects, and industry trends within the MEP sector.
Lead Generation and Qualification: Proactively generate new leads through various channels, including networking, cold outreach, industry events, and referrals. Qualify leads based on their potential and alignment with our service offerings.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders, including developers, contractors, consultants, and end-users.
Proposal Development and Presentation: Collaborate with the technical team to develop compelling proposals, presentations, and tender documents that effectively communicate our value proposition.
Negotiation and Closing: Lead and manage the negotiation process to secure new contracts and achieve sales targets.
Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and implementation of the company's business development strategy to achieve growth objectives.
Networking and Industry Engagement: Attend industry conferences, seminars, and networking events to build relationships and stay informed about market developments.
Reporting and Analysis: Track and report on business development activities, pipeline progress, and sales performance. Provide regular updates to senior management.
Collaboration: Work closely with the operations, engineering, and project management teams to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.
Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of competitor activities, pricing strategies, and emerging technologies within the MEP industry.
Person Specification
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in business development or sales within the MEP, construction, or engineering industry.
Proven track record of successfully generating leads, managing client relationships, and closing deals. • Strong understanding of MEP systems, services, and industry practices.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Existing network of contacts within the MEP or construction industry is a significant advantage.
