Job Title: Backhoe Operator

Role Summary

• We are currently hiring a Backhoe Operator with strong hands-on experience in operating and maintaining backhoe machinery on construction sites.
• The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience and should demonstrate safety awareness and equipment handling competence.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate backhoe machinery to perform excavations, trenching, and material movement
• Perform pre-operation checks to ensure the equipment is in proper working condition
• Load and unload materials as required for site tasks
• Work with site engineers and supervisors to execute planned excavation or backfilling activities
• Ensure safety of self and others by adhering to site and company safety protocols
• Perform routine maintenance checks and report any issues or breakdowns to the maintenance team
• Keep daily logs of machine usage and report to the site supervisor
• Follow site markings, layouts, and excavation boundaries as provided.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years proven experience operating a backhoe on construction sites
• Relevant equipment operator certification or license is mandatory
• Good knowledge of equipment safety, maintenance, and operating procedures
• Ability to work under pressure and in remote site locations
• Strong teamwork, communication, and discipline
• Knowledge of basic machine troubleshooting is an added advantage.
