We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Customer Sales Officer

Location: Gwarinpa, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • This is not a field marketing role. You will not be required to go out looking for clients.
  • Our service team will send clients directly to you.
  • Your focus is purely on attending to these clients, engaging with them, and converting their interest into confirmed sales.
  • If you're good with people, enjoy closing deals, and prefer an office-based role, this is an ideal opportunity for you.

Responsibilities
Sales & Conversion:

  • Take full ownership of every lead passed from the Customer Service team and convert them into paying clients— this is your primary responsibility.
  • Engage prospects promptly after referral via CRM, email, or direct transfer. Timely response is critical to conversion.
  • Conduct client needs assessments, product presentations, and virtual/in-office demos tailored to client pain points.
  • Confidently explain all Smash Technology brands and offerings, answer client questions, and recommend the most suitable service or package based on individual client needs.
  • Handle objections professionally, follow up consistently, and maintain communication until the lead is either closed or disqualified.
  • Maintain a clean and organized CRM pipeline by logging all lead interactions, conversion progress, follow-ups, and outcomes with 100% accuracy.
  • Work hand-in-hand with the Customer Service Officers to clarify client needs, share feedback, and align on next steps for conversion and onboarding.
  • Coordinate with the onboarding and operations teams to ensure a smooth and timely transition of closed clients.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional products or services.
  • Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales targets and conversion KPIs set by management.
  • Provide detailed weekly sales reports, conversion summaries, and forecasts to the Business Development Manager or other designated supervisors.
  • Track and respond to customer feedback, contributing insights to improve product offerings and refine sales strategy.
  • Stay updated on competitor offerings, market trends, and client behaviour to sharpen pitch strategies and increase success rates.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development teams on aligning sales activities with campaigns and promotions.

Client Interaction & Experience:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for clients across all platforms, including phone calls, CRM, WhatsApp, email, and social media.
  • Handle all client inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and efficiently.
  • Provide accurate, timely, and helpful information on all company services and products.
  • Follow up on all client requests and unresolved issues to ensure complete resolution and satisfaction.
  • Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation of all client interactions using the company’s CRM tools.
  • Uphold the company’s customer service standards by delivering a consistent and professional client experience that aligns with the brand’s values.
  • Promptly escalate unresolved or technical issues to the appropriate departments.
  • Adhere strictly to company policies, procedures, dress codes, and ethical standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a sales or customer-facing role.
  • Proven ability to manage a sales pipeline and close deals consistently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong product presentation and client engagement skills.
  • Proficient in CRM systems, email etiquette, and digital sales tools.
  • Strong collaboration mindset with internal teams.
  • Goal-driven, self-motivated, and adaptable under pressure.

Benefits

  • Salary: N100,000 Monthly
  • Commission: 2.5% of Monthly Sales
