We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Preparatory Line Operator

Location: Nasarawa

Job Summary

• We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Soya Preparatory Line Operator to join our production team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the soya preparatory line, ensuring optimal processing of soya beans into high-quality oil.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and adjust preparatory line equipment to ensure efficient processing of soya beans.
• Perform routine checks, cleaning, and preventive maintenance on equipment to avoid downtime.
• Monitor process parameters and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality.
• Ensure proper handling and flow of soya beans through cleaning, cracking, conditioning, and flaking stages.
• Maintain accurate records of daily operations, process data, and equipment performance.
• Report faults or abnormalities promptly and assist in minor troubleshooting.
• Uphold Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety guidelines, and housekeeping standards.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth production flow and timely delivery of processed material to the extraction line.
• Participate in safety drills, training, and audits as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Education and Experience

• HND / B.Sc Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Food Technology, or related technical field
• 2 – 3 years' experience in operating equipment in a food or vegetable oil processing plant, especially in soya oil production.

Required Skills / Abilities

• Solid understanding of soya bean processing and preparatory line functions(cleaning, cracking, conditioning, flaking).
• Ability to perform accurate quality checks, adjust parameters, and maintain cleanliness in line with GMP and SOP standards.
• Strong sense of accountability, attention to detail, and commitment to workplace safety.
