Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory and Logistics Supervisor to oversee inventory control and coordinate all logistics operations.
The ideal candidate will ensure efficient storage, accurate inventory tracking, and smooth movement of goods across locations.
This role is critical to maintaining operational continuity, optimizing stock levels, and ensuring timely delivery of supplies in line with company and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management:
Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across all storage and service locations.
Conduct periodic stock counts (cycle counts, full audits) and reconcile with system records.
Identify and investigate stock discrepancies and escalate findings to management.
Ensure timely replenishment of stock to avoid shortages or overstocking.
Maintain up-to-date inventory records using ERP or WMS tools (e.g., SAP, Odoo, QuickBooks).
Logistics and Distribution:
Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics operations for timely delivery and dispatch.
Collaborate with vendors, transport providers, and internal teams to schedule pickups and deliveries.
Monitor transportation efficiency, track logistics costs, and recommend cost-saving measures.
Oversee accurate documentation including delivery notes, waybills, and shipment records.
Supervise loading and unloading processes to ensure safe and efficient handling of materials.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and provide direction to warehouse and logistics personnel.
Deliver training, monitor performance, and support staff development.
Enforce compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards within the warehouse and during logistics operations.
Reporting & Documentation:
Generate and submit periodic reports on inventory accuracy, warehouse activities, and delivery performance.
Ensure proper record-keeping and readiness for internal and external audits.
Support inventory and logistics audits and stock inspections.
Qualifications & Requirements
B.Sc./ HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of3 years’ experience in inventory or logistics supervision, preferably in a structured or hospitality setting.
Professional certifications (e.g., CILT, APICS, or supply chain-related) are an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control methodologies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools.
Familiarity with Nigerian logistics networks and regulatory requirements.
Excellent planning, organizational, and analytical skills.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
