Job Description
We are looking for a smart, detail-oriented, and proactive Compliance and Operations Officer to join our growing team. This role is critical to ensuring that our internal processes run smoothly, employees remain compliant with company policies, and data is effectively used to support strategic decisions.
You will work closely with the Managing Director (MD) on a daily basis, oversee customer service compliance, assist with HR operations, and leverage Generative AI platforms to improve data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities
Monitor and ensure company-wide compliance with internal policies and relevant regulations.
Support and assist the MD in daily administrative and operational duties.
Assist with HR functions including onboarding, performance tracking, internal communication, and documentation.
Manage schedules, coordinate meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action items.
Oversee customer service activities related to financial transactions, ensuring all records are accurate, verifiable, and compliant with company procedures.
Maintain and analyse operational data using Excel, Google Sheets, and other relevant tools.
Use Generative AI systems proficiently to analyse data, extract insights, and enhance operational efficiency through intelligent automation and reporting.
Prepare internal reports, summaries, and updates to support informed decision-making.
Use Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar) for day-to-day documentation and communication.
Facilitate internal communication and help maintain a culture of accountability and collaboration.
Support internal audits and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Flexible to work shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays when the need arises.
Must reside in Benin City, specifically around Sapele Road or GRA and environs.
Proven experience in operations, compliance, HR, or administrative support roles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace tools.
Comfortable using and prompting Generative AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek) for data analysis and task automation.
Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Strong ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
