Job Title: Field Coordinator

Job Summary
The Field Coordinator (FC) should provide overall supervision and promote and value participatory approaches throughout the project cycle (identification of beneficiaries, awareness raising and sensitisation, food distribution, Pre and Post Distribution Monitoring (PDM), as well as monitoring and evaluation under the direct supervision of the FS Project Manager.
During the absence of PM, the position will be wholly accountable for the project under the direct supervision of the Head of Base Maiduguri /or PM (expatriate).
Responsibilities
Project Management:
Liaise and collaborate with relevant local authorities, donors’ program staff in field and other key stakeholders for a coordinated implementation of project activities;
Main responsible as focal person to work with SEMA and NEMA and local government authorities into your project area.
Line management for the project staff including recording of attendance, leaves, other matters in close coordinator with PM and Admin department;
Coordinate, nutrition, targeting, SCOPE registration, supervise and manage projects implementation as per plan in close coordination with protection, field, logistic and warehouse officers;
Provide primary level information / Assessment / Analysis to elaborate project concept notes and proposals for submission to Project Manager;
Ensure adherence to INTERSOS policies, guidance and procedures at field level;
Provide distribution / CBT (if applicable) / narrative reporting / CPDR / WH reports, PAT inputs & other all report to the PM as required;
Provide regular progress reports to the PM;
Manage & utilize as per plan, project budget and reporting for PN;
Implement technical direction for food distribution, cash vouchers, warehouse stocking and ensure high technical quality of project ensuring protection implications;
Ensure that the project targets the beneficiaries that are most vulnerable and most in need;
Initiate and participate in the development of relevant projects, including monitoring, PDMs / assessment / verification process;
Ensure to identify capacity building gaps of project staff, TNA and transfer of key skills through different arrangements in consultation with PM;
Implement other tasks as might be required with relation to the INTERSOS Country Program in Nigeria.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree/Higher National Diploma;
Minimum of 4 years of experience from at national level project implementation position in a humanitarian / recovery context;
Experience in working in complex and volatile contexts;
Technical Food Security expertise (ware house management, In-kind and cash for food);
Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities;
Experience in leadership and problem solving;
Fluency in English, both written and oral including local language ad advantage;
Capacity to adapt to basic living conditions, patience;
Ability to put up with pressure from government agencies;
Ability to deliver high quality work within tight deadlines;
Strong negotiation skills
