Job Title: Electrical Foreman

Location: Gujeni, Kaduna
Industry: Mining / Industrial Operations
Reports To: Electrical Engineer / Maintenance Manager

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a skilled and proactive Electrical Foreman to oversee all electrical works and maintenance activities at our mining site in Kaduna.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising electrical technicians, coordinating electrical installations and repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the electrical team on site.
• Interpret and execute electrical drawings, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, motors, switchgears, MCC panels, and control circuits.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues to minimize downtime.
• Plan and assign daily tasks, ensuring timely completion and quality workmanship.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Monitor inventory of electrical materials and initiate requisitions when necessary.
• Maintain accurate reports of electrical work performed, time logs, and equipment usage.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical systems.
• Liaise with engineers, safety officers, and other departments to support operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum qualification: OND/HND/B.Eng in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience: 3–6 years in a similar role, preferably in a mining or heavy industrial environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of industrial electrical systems and control panels.
• Proven leadership skills in managing field teams and enforcing discipline.
• Good understanding of electrical safety standards and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and circuit diagrams.
• Familiarity with generators, PLC systems, VFDs, and motor controls is a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Willingness to work in a demanding and physically active site environment.
