Job Title: Kitchen Assistant

Job Description

• Supporting the chefs in food preparation, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, and ensuring food safety and hygiene standard.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation.

Kitchen Maintenance:

• Cleaning kitchen appliances, ovens, dishes, and pans
• Sweeping and mopping kitchen floors

Inventory Management:

• Unloading fresh supplies and organizing the stockroom
• Checking sell-by dates and rotating food stock
• Assisting with inventory control and recording notable food waste.

Health and Safety:

• Following strict hygiene, health, and safety rules
• Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment and work areas
• Reporting any equipment that needs repairs.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred, though not always required
• Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is beneficial.

Skills:

• Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Familiarity with kitchen equipments.

Salary
N40,000 - N60,000 monthly.
