The Head, Corporate Finance is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction for the organization’s corporate finance activities, ensuring alignment with business goals, stakeholder expectations, and risk appetite.
This role oversees capital raising initiatives, investment structuring, financial planning, governance, and compliance, while also ensuring optimal financial performance of the company and its portfolio investments.
Lead the Corporate Finance team and foster a high-performance culture focused on excellence, collaboration, and strategic impact.
Serve as the primary liaison for financial stakeholders including investors, board members, regulators, and financial institutions.
Support the executive management team with strategic financial insights and partnership on major business decisions.
Governance, Risk & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and corporate governance requirements.
Oversee risk management frameworks, identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial and operational risks.
Lead internal and external audit processes for corporate finance functions.
Financial Modelling & Analysis:
Design and review complex financial models for strategic planning, valuation, scenario analysis, and decision-making.
Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support business cases, investment appraisals, and growth initiatives.
Provide detailed forecasts, sensitivity analysis, and return metrics to guide capital allocation decisions.
Investment & Deal Structuring:
Lead all capital raising efforts including debt, equity, and alternative financing arrangements.
Structure and negotiate co-investment arrangements, fund vehicles, and strategic partnerships.
Evaluate investment opportunities and provide deal leadership from due diligence through to execution and integration.
Financial Strategy & Portfolio Oversight:
Develop and execute the organization’s financial strategy aligned with fund objectives, investor return expectations, and risk profiles.
Monitor and oversee the performance of investments and financial assets, providing strategic direction on value creation and exit planning.
Optimize capital structure and ensure long-term financial sustainability of the organization and its portfolio
Required skills and qualifications
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
Minimum of 7 years progressive experience in corporate finance, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
MBA, FMBA, or other advanced degrees are an advantage, but not mandatory.
Professional certification in Corporate Finance, Accounting, or Investment (e.g., CFA, ACA, ACCA) is highly desirable.
Advanced financial modelling certification or training is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated success in fundraising, capital structuring, and investment management.

Salary
N800,000 - N900,000 monthly.
