Job Title: Business Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a competent and self-driven Business Manager to oversee the daily operations of our factory and support office.
The ideal candidate must have strong accounting knowledge, experience in sales and customer engagement, and the ability to conduct internal control checks to ensure financial discipline and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight:
Supervise daily factory and administrative operations to ensure productivity and compliance with SOPs.
Liaise with department heads (Production, Sales, Accounts, Logistics) to monitor business performance.
Prepare and present periodic reports to the Managing Director.
Accounting & Financial Management:
Oversee daily financial transactions and ensure accurate bookkeeping.
Monitor cash flow, expenses, bank reconciliations, and petty cash usage.
Ensure all statutory deductions (PAYE, pension, VAT, etc.) are tracked and remitted properly.
Internal Control & Compliance:
Conduct routine internal audits and spot checks across departments.
Enforce stock and inventory control procedures.
Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to minimize risks.
Sales Monitoring & Client Engagement:
Track daily/weekly/monthly sales performance across distribution and retail channels.
Support client relationship management and ensure prompt order fulfillment.
Coordinate with the marketing and sales team for promotional efforts and customer feedback.
Human Resource & Administrative Duties:
Supervise office and factory support staff; ensure discipline, attendance, and adherence to policies.
Support basic HR functions including record-keeping, leave monitoring, and staff coordination.
Assist in recruitment and onboarding of junior staff as required.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
B.Sc./ HND in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
Minimum of 3 –5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
Professional qualifications (ICAN/ACA) or ongoing certification is an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, Excel, or similar tools).
Strong attention to detail with excellent internal auditing and record-keeping skills.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication abilities.
Familiarity with the chemical or cosmetics industry is a plus.
Remuneration and Benefits
Monthly Salary: N200,000 (net).
