Collaborate closely with the assigned driver to meticulously plan and execute the timely pickup of empty cylinders from customer locations and the subsequent delivery of filled or replacement cylinders to their facilities, ensuring all logistical requirements are met efficiently and punctually.
This involves proactive communication to coordinate schedules, confirm pickup and delivery windows, and address any potential delays or issues that may arise during transit.
The goal is to optimize the entire cylinder exchange process, minimizing customer downtime and maintaining a seamless supply chain for their operational needs.
Responsibilties
Loading and Unloading Cylinders: This role involves the meticulous handling of cylinders during the loading and unloading processes from vehicles. A primary responsibility is to ensure proper handling techniques are employed to minimize the risk of damage to the cylinders and associated equipment. This requires adherence to safety protocols and an understanding of the correct procedures for moving heavy and potentially hazardous materials.
Cylinder and Delivery Documentation: A critical aspect of this position is the accurate and complete documentation of cylinder tracking and delivery records. The goal is to achieve 100% cylinder management, which necessitates precise record-keeping for every cylinder, from its origin to its destination. This includes logging details such as cylinder type, serial number, contents, date of dispatch, delivery location, and recipient confirmation. This meticulous documentation is vital for inventory control, safety compliance, and efficient logistics.
Basic Truck Maintenance: When necessary, the individual will assist with basic truck maintenance activities. This may include routine checks such as fluid levels, tire pressure, and lights, as well as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to a dedicated maintenance team. A proactive approach to truck maintenance ensures vehicle reliability, operational efficiency, and driver safety.
Production Activities: As required, the role also involves assisting with production activities. This could encompass a range of tasks within the production facility, such as preparing cylinders for filling, assisting with the filling process, and quality control checks.
Flexibility and a willingness to contribute to various aspects of the production chain are essential for supporting overall operational goal.
