Job Overview

• We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled NOC Engineer to join our Network Operations team. The ideal candidate will monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of telecommunications and network systems, ensuring optimal performance and prompt resolution of issues.
• This role requires strong expertise in Cisco infrastructure, fixed wireless technologies, and microwave transmission, as well as the ability to work in a high-pressure, multi-cultural environment on a 24/7 rotational shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct real-time 24/7 network surveillance and monitoring across all infrastructure layers.
• Perform routine and advanced *system administration* tasks on network elements (routers, switches, wireless links).
• Proactively identify and escalate network faults or performance degradation that could impact service delivery or customer experience.
• Analyze traffic patterns and performance trends to forecast capacity issues and recommend design improvements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network-reported or customer-reported incidents within SLA timelines.
• Escalate complex technical problems to third-level support teams and follow up to closure.
• Utilize network monitoring and management tools to ensure visibility across core, access, and transmission layers.
• Maintain documentation for incident reports, configuration changes, and escalation procedures.
• Monitor service level performance of key vendors and highlight SLA breaches or risks.
• Provide support for microwave transmission systems, including performance checks and fault isolation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to support network upgrades, maintenance windows, and integration projects.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Candidates should possess a B.Sc. or HND in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, ora  related field.
• Must have 2–3 years of experience in a telecoms or network operations environment.
• CCNA or CCNP certification* (must be valid).
• Hands-on experience with Cisco switches, routers, and network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix).
• Solid understanding of Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) technology and Microwave Transmission systems.
• Strong communication skills – verbal and written.
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities under pressure.
• Willingness and availability to work 24/7 shift rotation, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to thrive in a multi-cultural, dynamic, and fast-paced technical setting.

Salary
N150,000 - N200,000 / Month.
